    Luna function3Our upstairs function room has fabulous views over the city and harbour. It has its own fully functioning bar, bathrooms, and the outdoor decks to enjoy the outlook over Dunedin.

    Luna’s liquor license is until 12am. This means that no alcohol will be served after 12am, and all guests are expected to have left the premises by 12.30am. As we are situated in a residential area.

    We are able to seat a maximum of 27 people for a sit-down dinner, or 60 standing for drinks/nibbles/ party.
    Upstairs has its own sound system, so you are able to bring your own music to connect with our AUX connection point. Don’t forget to bring your charger!

    We also have a TV with USB, HDMI connection to show photos is available. The outdoor areas on the decks are available for drinking and smoking. They also have umbrellas for sunny days and gas heaters to keep the chill off during the colder months.

    If your function has less than 15 people, and you would still like a staff member upstairs to open the bar there is a $30 per hour fee that applies. Groups larger than 15 people, there is no charge.

    Luna function2Our downstairs restaurant also has amazing views over Dunedin City. It has a fully functioning bar, bathrooms and an outdoor area for smoking and drinking.

    Luna’s liquor license is until 12am. This means that no alcohol will be served after 12am, and all guests are expected to have left the premises by 12.30am. As we are situated in a residential area.

    The main restaurant can seat up 45 people. This can be set out however you prefer, but we have found that 3 long tables work well. It can also hold up to 100 people standing for drinks/nibbles/party.

    If you are wanting the restaurant for your private function for the entire evening, from 5pm onwards, then a minimum spend of $5000 applies. However if you only require it from 8pm, the minimum spend of $3500 applies. Please note that the minimum spend includes food and drink.

    For party music, speakers and a microphone can be arranged at an additional $230. This would also be included into your minimum spend total. We can also organise a bus to pick guests up at 12am.

    We do require a $250 bond prior your function. This will be returned the following day.
